Imagine being swept back in time to find yourself trapped in the conflict of World War I. Meeting a soldier and knowing that at 15, he will be the youngest to die on the battlefield. Would you be able to change the path of time to save him?
On a visit to Ypres to visit the war graves, Rose hears the sound of marching outside her hotel. Looking out, she spots a dog which leads her to a young soldier whose name she has read on a gravestone
It was a very heart-warming story I reccomend it a lot.
the great things about this book was how the writer always expressed the charcters feelings and also how they described things e.g. Rose struggled painfully to her feet
At the beginning, the characters were explained very well, such as Rose seeing Joe; there is a lot of description in the story and it is very well thought out. For this and many other reasons I enjoyed this book and give it 3 and a half stars out of 5.
This was a great book. It was romantic, historical and mysterious all in one. Amazing! Read it or you haven’t lived. That’s how great it is!
A girl called Rose goes to Ypres to visit the memorial graves and sees one about a boy who died at 15. A good story that makes you think.
