Imagine being swept back in time to find yourself trapped in the conflict of World War I. Meeting a soldier and knowing that at 15, he will be the youngest to die on the battlefield. Would you be able to change the path of time to save him?
On a visit to Ypres to visit the war graves, Rose hears the sound of marching outside her hotel. Looking out, she spots a dog which leads her to a young soldier whose name she has read on a gravestone
I adored this book as it takes you back in time to the trenches in World War One. Gripping storyline combining real life with history.
I think it is quite questing book asking you if anything like this happened to you what would you do? will you leave it or do the same thing as Rose did. It was emotional where Joe has to die and Rose can’t do anything. It made me cry a little at the ending.
I loved this book! I really got into it after a while. I love how she carries on trying to find Valentine instead of just giving up. 4.5*
