A dark night, a rain drenched road and a fatal car crash.
When Joe’s mum is killed in a hit and run accident, a trail of secrets and lies begins to unravel.
A fast and furious mystery packed with strange disappearances, mysterious characters and evil gangsters.
Will Joe’s search for the answers lead him to the truth or is he just chasing the dark?
Chasing The Dark is a great book. Its has inspired me to read more books by Sam Hepburn. I liked the twist they added at the end when they thought they knew who the vulture was, but they were completely wrong. Great book! I recommend this book to anyone who likes reading.
Thank you to Hammad in year 7 for your review of Chasing the Dark. Unfortunately, we can’t put your comments on as it will give away too much of the story, but we know that you enjoyed it because you gave it 5 stars.
“I found this book very interesting. I also loved the way that it was written. I’m glad the library brought this book into the library! I highly recommend this book.” – Rehan
What a fantastic shortlist! I was thrilled to see Chasing the Dark included in such a prestigious line up and I really hope that the voters enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Here’s the trailer to give you a taste of the story http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgfYqaGODhA (Preview) and now I’m off to buy all the other shortlisted titles – they look wonderful!
Thank you for commenting. I have highlighted the fact we have the video on the website in one of my blog posts. Comments about Chasing the Dark by Bolton School Year 7 Girls:
“Amazing, keeps you guessing the whole way through. So good I had to put it out of the way because it was distracting me from revision. 5 stars*****”
“Gripping and an amazing story”
Comment by a Canon Slade Year 8 pupil:
“This book has an interesting storyline that, for the most part, is quite gripping. Some of the things that happen I don’t think would happen in real life but as an adventure book, this book is brilliant. I would recommend it to everyone.”
