An epic quest across wild Scottish highlands and islands, where friendships will be made and broken, lies will be untangled and the children will face danger and excitement at every turn.
When Alice is shipped off to boarding school in Scotland it’s nothing like she imagines. Run by the mysterious Major, there are no punishments and the students are more likely to be taught about body painting or extreme survival than Maths or English!
When Alice’s dad goes missing, she must run away to find him. But can she persuade her new friends to help?

great book 4/5
I really enjoyed reading The Children of Castle Rock, especially the twist and the end with the Leopard and the gun. This book is a really moving story and I would give it 10/10. I especially like the Epilogue and always love books with a good ending.
4 STARS
I found children of castle rock a wonderful book. I loved how they race to school and thatÆs when they all become friends and how they all become mischievous together. When they go on an adventure itÆs very thrilling and realistic. However I got a bit confused at the end but it does remind you of Scotland like the sea, land, hidden castle and how they climb down the cliff. I would rate this book 4 stars
