This was a really good book which had a good story line. I liked the character Jack because he was quite funny and seemed nice. Also the ending was really good.
I really didn’t like this book. I found it one of the most boring books I have ever read. I hated it.
Why didn’t you like it? Was it the type of story (sci-fi) or the period it was set in or did you just not ‘gel’ with the characters?
I like the way it is set in world war one because it lets you picture the scene. I like the idea of some other worlds because it gives the effect of the unnatural and unrealistic.
This book was very exciting and kept me involved all the way through. Although it got boring some of the way through it was only short lived and pulled me back in quickly. This book had a number of climaxes, all as good as each other. My favourite part was when Tom wasn’t given up on especially when he seemed to be the definite offender. I would recommend this book to an age group of 11 and upwards.
I love that you kept going and changed your mind about the book Caitlin! I agree Lina that it is quite up and down as a plot and gradually the excitement builds. I think there may be a a series of books.
