I didn’t know what to think but it was a good book.
I thought that this book didn’t have a very good beginning, therefore, I wasn’t very interested in it and didn’t want to carry on reading it. However, it became really interesting and I didn’t want to put it down. Also, it wasn’t predictable and it was really enjoyable.
I’m glad you kept at it Heather. Often storylines get more exciting as time goes on.
It was well written and exciting. The storyline was mysterious and kept you guessing right to the end.
It made me feel as though I was the main character, Jack, and I could picture the images on Gallows Hill easily in my head, so the author really got into my imagination. I felt gripped and now I want to read more of the series.
I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.
I thought the book was a bit confusing, however it was an OK book that had a bit of sci-fi in it. It wasn’t really my style of book but I persevered and carried onto the end where Tom Pile got a happy ending.
You’re doing lots of reading Emily. You’ll have a great overview of the Award and know exactly who you want to vote for. I’ll be interested to see your next review 🙂 Mrs Caller (Librarian)
