I really like this book. It is a science fiction with a bit of mystery and adventure.
The main character is Jack Carmody and he works for a secret government that delves into the supernatural and unexplained. He sees lights on a hill and finds a boy who claims itÆs the year 1900. With the help of JackÆs boss (Captain Holloway) they try to uncover the truth.
I can tell the characters are well developed because as soon as I met Jack I knew he would do his best to keep his secret. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes magic and mystery.
The Disappearance of Tom Pile was fascinating. I really wanted to know Tom’s story. I loved the idea of Jack Carmody’s job and solving mysteries and “supernatural happenings” being investigated. The pictures were an interesting touch and helped the story flow.
This book was good but it wasn’t my favourite. I liked the character Jack because he was quite funny. Also this book was really interesting.
