Instructions for a Second-hand Heart by Tamsyn Murray
This book has a very deceptive cover in that this is NOT a love story. It is a book told from the two perspectives.
Jonny is facing death, desperately in need of a heart transplant. Then one day he gets the call to say that a heart has been found û but of course, there are two sides to this story. Whilst JonnyÆs life may be saved, another family is facing a terrible loss.
Curiosity drives Jonny to find out more.
This is Tamsyn MurrayÆs second time being nominated for the Bolton Book Awards, the last time was in 2011 for her book æMy So Called Haunting.Æ
I like how the author wrote it from two different perspectives.
Woah! This book is probably my favourite out of all of the nominees. It gets romance and mystery and takes it all into a real life drama story. It was very hard to put down and I enjoyed every second of reading this. We all relate to the characters in some way and this really moved me. 5 Stars!!
Fabulous review Medb, makes me want to read it again.
I loved this story, although upsetting at times overall enjoyable. I found myself sat reading and re-reading this for hours on end.
Wow Faye, I guess this is going to be one of your favourite books for a long time.
Spoiler Alert: This book is a love story.
I liked how the story as told from two opposing perspectives and how it is not predictable and has a few twists and turns. Overall I quite enjoyed this book and found it very heart warming.

In my opinion, I think this book is aimed at older children. I thought it was a bit too soppy as I personally do not enjoy love stories. The ending was very good though and it kept me on the edge of my seat.
I agree
