The áGirl of Ink and Starsáby Kiran Millwood Hargrave
This beautifully illustrated fantasy novel is set on the fictional island of Gomera. Forbidden to leave her island, Isabella, the cartographerÆs daughter dreams of the faraway lands her father once mapped.
When her best friend disappears, sheÆs determined to be part of the search party. Guided by an ancient map and her knowledge of the stars, Isabella navigates the islandÆs forgotten territories. But beneath the dry rivers and dead forests a fiery myth is stirring from its sleep.
I think this book is really interesting and I would read it again I think the author has written a great book and she has a creative mind and she could create another sequel.
I think a sequel sounds like a great idea. What characters do you think should be in it? Have you any plot ideas? Thanks Mrs Northcott
the girl of ink and stars is a book where it shows strong connections, it also shows what courage can do and how it can change your life’s outcome. the main protagonist Isabella should be an idol for all readers.
A wonderful book. Looking at the cover, I thought it was a terrible book but when I read it, it was “AMAZING!” Just to clarify – this is not a ‘girly’ book. It is fantasy based and adventurous. I would recommend to all.

I agree its a great adventure story with lots of suspense. I really wanted this book to be longer. So glad you enjoyed it too.
Mrs Northcott.
I really enjoyed this and couldn’t put it down. It was easy to read and follow the story with lots of mystery. I really wanted to know about the characters and the land they live in . I was a little bit sad to get to the end as I didn’t want it to me over.

I didn’t like this book but it was alright a weak 3.4/5. could have had a less confusing plot and more realistic.
Thankyou for the review. Not your favourite book I see. Sometimes fantasy can feel a little confusing, you need to be able to transport yourself into another reality. Mrs Northcott
