This book interested me by the cover and the blurb. At the start of the story I was not really enjoying the book and I got a bit muddled up but when I read chapter 1 it started to grip my interest. It was sad and happy in some parts but right at the end the quote to cut my eye and I fell in love with the quote that I actually got inspired to believe in yourself.

Clownfish is a book that is underrated. It has a mixture of sorrow and happiness in it. The first chapter is extremely sad especially for Dak. Dak Is a normal boy living happily. Then something so upsetting happened, she can’t get used to life that way. He finds a friend that helps him through the way.

This book is probably one of my favourite books that I have read in a while. It balances out emotion and comedy in a very smart and strategic way. This book made me VERY happy and I can’t wait to buy the book!
After reading the book Clownfish by Alan Durant I thought it was one of the best books I had ever read. I love how he puts different emotions in it like when Dak and his mum found out that their dad/husband had died they were very, very sad. But when Dak found out his dad was alive but a fish he was very happy. Dak found out his dad was a clownfish! Overall I think this is a really good book.
