The living meet the dead in a race against time in this spookily funny story.
When Jake opens a strange box containing a severed finger, he accidentally summons a grim reaper to drag him to the Eternal Void and now he’s running for his life! But luckily Jake isn’t alone – he can see and speak to ghosts.
Jake and his deadly gang (well dead, at least) Stiffkey, Cora, and Zorro the ghost fox – have one mission: find the Embassy of the Dead and seek protection. But the Embassy has troubles of its own and may not be the safe haven Jake is hoping for . . .
Perfect for fans of Skulduggery Pleasant and Who Let the Gods Out.

Jake, unknowingly, opens a box containing a severed finger. As if this was not bad enough, he had only summoned a ôgrim reaperö He now had a mission to safely reach the ôEmbassy of the Dead.ö Along the way he makes friends with some weird and wonderful ghosts. A truly exhilarating read, the suspense left me on the edge of my seat. I definitely recommend this book – if you dare!
Imagine being able to talk and see ghosts. Well meet Jake, he can, he met a ghost, who is still on the earthly plane by the way, and he got a parcel from a ghost named Stiffkey, but little does he know this strange box contains a severed finger. Jake did not know that he was not meant to open the box and he did. Now he has unleashed Mawkins the most dangerous ghost ever, well the dead, nowJake is running for his life. Luckily he is not alone, Jake and his deadly gang (himself, Stiffkey the undertaker, Hockey stick-wielding Cora and Zorro the ghost fox) have one mission to find the Embassy of the Dead and to seek protection and put and end to it all. A book of surprises, scares and making new friendships on the way.

This is a book about a boy called Jake, he finds a strange box and in it is a finger. He does not tell his parents about this. A couple of days later a ghost finds him and said they had to run away and hide! I love this book so much. It is very good because I like books that are very adventurous.
