Instructions for a Second-hand Heart by Tamsyn Murray
This book has a very deceptive cover in that this is NOT a love story. It is a book told from the two perspectives.
Jonny is facing death, desperately in need of a heart transplant. Then one day he gets the call to say that a heart has been found û but of course, there are two sides to this story. Whilst JonnyÆs life may be saved, another family is facing a terrible loss.
Curiosity drives Jonny to find out more.
This is Tamsyn MurrayÆs second time being nominated for the Bolton Book Awards, the last time was in 2011 for her book æMy So Called Haunting.Æ
I thought that this wasn’t the best book as it didn’t really engage me. At first when Leo fell and died I was upset however it was interesting. I recommend this book to someone who likes romance novels.
For me, all the twists in this book really stressed me out, but left me wanting to know what would happen. It was like an addiction when reading this.
Well presented and gripping

I found this book incredible. Definitely one of my all-time favorites by far. I also loved how there was such a deep connection between the two strangers and how it was such a coincidence for them both to meet each other. It was so emotional and heart warming. I loved it!
Hi Jasmine, thanks so much for your review. I’m delighted you liked the connection between Jonny and Niamh – I like it too, even though they didn’t always do what I wanted them to 😉

This is beautifully written and extremely heartwarming and that one person’s death can save another’s life. I really like how it was written so you can see other peoples perspective and feelings.
Thanks so much for writing a review – I am very glad you enjoyed the book. And I tried very hard to make readers see how my characters might feel so I’m pleased you got that!
