I really likes this book because of its quirky little details and I loved Darkus” characteristics. People said that you had to get halfway through before you were interested but I found it great the whole way through! My favourite thing about he book was the relationship between Darkus and his Dad because there was no sort of definite relationship there, it sort of grew without them realising that it was.
I loved this book. it was truly the book I was looking to read. Detective work which is the best thing in my life. This inspired me to read more detective books. it was amazing. Well I think I will be detective one day.
To be honest, I wasn’t really looking forward to reading this book as it didn’t seem like my kind of thing. I kept getting told that it was rubbish and hard to understand but when I actually read it I loved it! It was so suspenseful and mysterious! It got me reading every day just to find out what happened. This is probably going to be my third choice when we vote as I already had my first and second. Hope there is a sequel to this book but I haven’t checked yet. If there is I will definitely read it!
5*
Thank you for your comment Louise, it just goes to show that books are as individual as readers and how reading tastes differ. I am glad to see that you kept reading and enjoyed it and yes, there is a sequel called K9 Knightley & Son in which Darkus is joined by Wilbur a former police dog as his crime solving partner. Ask your Librarian for a copy, or it will be available to buy at the Award day in June.
