It sounded like a respectable and worthy enough death for an explorer – tumbling from an ice bridge to be impaled upon a mammoth tusk – but Stella really, really didn’t want that to happen, just the same.
When Stella and three other junior explorers get separated from their expedition, can they cross the frozen wilderness and live to tell the tale?

I really liked this book because there was a lot of magic and mystery in it. The characters were very good. My favourite one was Stella because she is brave, kind and proved that women can do the same as men by going on the expedition. My favourite part was when they went into the castle because it was very mysterious and there was lots of Magic.
4 /2 STARS
Hi Mia. Many thanks for your review – I’m so pleased you enjoyed the book. I think it’s important to show that women can be just as good at exploring as men too 🙂
A truly gripping book

I found this book extremely good. My favourite parts were when the explorers made new discoveries (like the frosties, the Ice Queen’s palace and the boat stuck in the ice). For me, the only problem was it took a few chapters to get started.
Hi Jonathon. Many thanks for your review. I’m very pleased to hear you enjoyed it and that the new discoveries were your favourite bit!
A fun immersive book, that’s fast paced with a love-hate relationship with all of the main characters. 3 Stars
Many thanks for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
i liked the part when………..that…..is a ……… i can’t say more but really I liked the book and is it in my top 2 along with I have no secrets.
Thank you very much for your review (and well done for not giving away any spoilers!)
This was the first book I read. I liked it because I felt that I could really relate to Stella since I am also someone who wants to be a part of everything! I love the description of the fantasy creatures, like the frosties and the pygmy dinosaurs, because it seemed like they were real, even though I knew they weren’t!
Hello. Thank you very much for your great review. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the book and that the frosties and pygmy dinosaurs almost seemed real.
