The living meet the dead in a race against time in this spookily funny story.
When Jake opens a strange box containing a severed finger, he accidentally summons a grim reaper to drag him to the Eternal Void and now he’s running for his life! But luckily Jake isn’t alone – he can see and speak to ghosts.
Jake and his deadly gang (well dead, at least) Stiffkey, Cora, and Zorro the ghost fox – have one mission: find the Embassy of the Dead and seek protection. But the Embassy has troubles of its own and may not be the safe haven Jake is hoping for . . .
Perfect for fans of Skulduggery Pleasant and Who Let the Gods Out.

I enjoyed this book and would read it again several times.it was a book that was impossible to put down as you would lay sleeplessly at night if you didn’t know what would happen next.my heart skipped a beat when you hear about the unexpected twist at the end. 5/5 . Although i would’ve liked to know what happens next.???
I thought this book had an interesting plot with unique characters and an unexpected twist at the end with one of the characters. I would recommend this book to 10 and up since there are some grim descriptions.
I am currently reading this book and close to the end. So far it is sooooooo good. Its got a strange story line but its funny too. Its not too funny that you get fed up as it has also got very emotive language in that really touches you. I totally recommend this book it is great, if there was a star system it would definitely get 5 stars!
I really liked it when Salee opened the box and Grim Reaper came out! 4 Stars
This book was very funny and exciting in every page. The only problem was that it was hard to put down! Each character had a unique trait and it made the story an amazing read. My favourite characters were Cora and Zoro. Cora because she is bold and a fun character and Zoro because he was such a cute ghost pet! There was a big twist at the end and there was also a brilliant ending to a brilliant story by a brilliant author! 5 Stars
