An epic quest across wild Scottish highlands and islands, where friendships will be made and broken, lies will be untangled and the children will face danger and excitement at every turn.
When Alice is shipped off to boarding school in Scotland it’s nothing like she imagines. Run by the mysterious Major, there are no punishments and the students are more likely to be taught about body painting or extreme survival than Maths or English!
When Alice’s dad goes missing, she must run away to find him. But can she persuade her new friends to help?

A very interesting book about a boarding school and new friendships. In my opinion, there could have been more about Alice’s grief , and also more description of the Scottish countryside (only because it’s my favourite place ever ) overall, a good read.
I found it a little bit sad at the beginning because Alice had lost her mother but I liked the book because at the beginning the author had described the house quite well and I liked it how the house looked. 5 Stars
I enjoyed this book because of the mix of adventure and crime. My favourite part was at the start of the book when Jesse’s brothers were embarrassing him by singing loudly and revealing secrets about him. My favourite character was Jesse because he is lively and was very enthusiastic about the Great Orienteering challenge. 4 Stars
I really really enjoyed this book with all the twist that Alice has with Fergus and Jesse.I rate this book 9/10,just because i think that Alice and her new friends don’t deserve such a hurtful journey!
Just at the first part, very interesting so far!
