Wasn’t that good. Took me till chapter nine to get interested. But then it became boring soon after.
This book is quite interesting, it was a bit confusing in the middle but it is very enticing.
I’m glad you began to enjoy it more as you continued reading!
I think that the beginning of the book was slightly boring, which made me not want to read the book, but when I started to read more of the book to get it over with, the plot got thicker and it became really interesting. From that point on I was hooked and I could not physically put it down. It was amazing from the middle onwards.
Also the juxtaposition of it being science fiction and yet being set in the war years was also fabulous.
Well done for sticking with it Caitlyn. It sounds like you really enjoyed it in the end!
This book was very interesting like a confusing mystery. As you read your brain is constantly going over everything that has happened because you are trying to figure out what has happened. My favourite part is when Tom and Jack are walking around and finding that all Toms family and the people he claims to know are all dead. This makes me as the reader draw closer to the story and incapable to put it down and stop reading it.
I’m not surprised you enjoyed this book Caitlin! I think it goes well with our work on detective fiction in class!
I found this book ok however it wasn’t really my favourite kind of book as it was a bit confusing during the middle. I liked the ending as it was like a new mystery had opened up.
